Not that difficult to see:
Favre has been solid...a couple poor showings
Gore was injured and has only had one amazing game...so far
LT - can only run on awful teams
Brown- has been surprisingly inconsistent
AJ - Beast...a couple poor showing but thats to be expected no matter who the player is.
Austin- the last 3 weeks have been phenomenal, before that nothing
Smith - See Austin and reverse it
Celek - see Smith
Tynes- he's a kicker, he hasnt let you down
Ravens - Solid Defense 3 below average weeks
I can definitely see how your team is 3-5...3-8 (week 8?). You can see a strong start from some players and a slow start by others but there are only a few weeks where they all pitched in. Gore is the only one to really explode at any point, Favre and Smith have had some great games but not explosions, same with Austin, but did you really start him when he went bananas in his first start? Not to mention everyone runs into an opponent whose team just goes off on the week you happen to play them.
The good news is that you are set up for a solid finish with all your guys healthy (Gore, AJ, LT )and clicking in their offense (Austin, Celek now that McNabb is back). Surprisingly your biggest concern is the Giants passing attack (Eli) and Cowboys schedule (everyone is talking about the stingy pass defenses that are coming up). I am assuming you have 5 weeks left of your season, so hopefully 7-6 will get you into the playoffs. You look like you are set up for a good run! |
